8.5Mm Opera Unicore Dry Rope

With its weight of 48 grams per meter, the OPERA 8.5 is the lightest and thinnest single rope on the market. The first to weigh less than 50 grams. A true concentrate of all BÉAL's know-how, it combines several technological innovations to offer a resistant rope that is both ultra-light and ultra-fluid. With its low impact force, OPERA 8.5 is a rope designed for the most demanding climbers, while remaining versatile. It is also certified as a twin and half rope.

The Beal Opera 8.5mm Golden Dry Rope features Beal’s unique Unicore Technology, which bonds the sheath and the core of the rope together, drastically reducing sheath slippage and making your rope much safer to use. The Unicore Treatment means that you can still safely rappel or abseil to safety if the sheath of your rope gets cut, as it won’t slip or bunch up, which causes it to become impossible to pass through your descender.
